National Chamber Forum on “Night Work for Women and Five Day Working Week”

The current labour law restricts night work for women and many female employees keep away from night work, thus reducing productivity in industries. In this backdrop the Chamber invited key stakeholders for an open Discussion/Forum on the subject of ‘Night Work for Women and 5 Day Working Week ’on 26 June 2015 in the afternoon hours,at the Chamber Auditorium. Representatives from the Garment industry, Telecom-Mobitel, IT/BPO- SLASSCOM, Employers Federation of Ceylon aired their views and shared their experiences.
