National Chamber concludes bilateral session with Thailand

The National Chamber conducted the session on “Bilateral Trade & Investment session between Thailand & Sri Lanka” on 27 October 2022 at the National Chamber Auditorium with a considerable gathering of business community.
Mr. Nandika Buddhipala, President of the National Chamber welcomed the Ambassador, Embassy Officials from the Royal Thai Consulate General office in Chennai, Special Invitees from Foreign Ministry EDB, BOI, NEDA, Media Organizations and the Business community who attended to the event and briefed about the economic background in Thailand and Trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
The Guest Speaker was His Excellency Poj Harnpol, Thailand Ambassador to Sri Lanka and other key speakers were Mrs. Hataichanok Sivara, Director – Thai Trade Center – Commercial Section, Royal Thai Consulate General in Chennai and Miss Kanyawan Suebsing, Deputy Director, Thai Trade Center – Commercial Section, Royal Thai Consulate General in Chennai.
Current trade environment, investment opportunities and services, Thailand-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement, policies to promote and strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Sri Lanka and Thailand were discussed in detail, during the session.
The participants had an opportunity to have a close dialogue with the Thailand Ambassador in Sri Lanka and the officials in Royal Thai Consulate General in Chennai.
