A high powered Austrian delegation visits the National Chamber

A high powered 5 Member Austrian delegation of senior officials of the Austrian Government, headed by His Excellency Dr. Wolfgang Waldner, State Secretary /Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria visited the National Chamber, on 30th April 2012 and met Chamber officials, invitees and Guests.
Dr. Waldner was accompanied by His Excellency Ferdinand Maultaschl, Ambassador of Austria to Sri Lanka based in New Delhi, Mr Hans-Joerg Hoertnagl, Austrian Trade Commissioner, Austrian Embassy, New Delhi, Mr. Florian Korchzak, Private Secretary to the State Secretary Dr. Waldner, Mr. Peter Hubber, Chief of Cabinet, Govt. of Austria and Mr. Benhard Zimburg, Head of the Asia Dept, Govt of Austria. The Honorary Consul for Austria in Sri Lanka, Mr. Senaka Amarasinghe, Managing Director, Car Mart Ltd too participated. The visit was co-ordinated by the Ministry of External Affairs, Colombo and was represented by Mr. A S Khan, Director General (Economic Affairs) and Mr. Maxwell Keegal, Actg. Director Political Affairs. Businessmen and personalities who had interests with Austria attended the meeting. A networking session was held between the visiting delegation and members/invitees. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Asoka Hettigoda, President National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. The Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and Senior Assistant Secretary General of the National Chamber participated at the meeting, which was well attended.
