Picture shows Business Delegates from Sri Lanka at the“Ceramics China 2014”  in Guangzhou, China, with representatives from the National Chamber of Commerce.

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and the Centre for Technical Excellence in Ceramics (CENTEC) sent a business delegation consisting of 21 delegates to visit “Ceramics China 2014” from 21 to 24 May 2014 at the Guangzhou, China. The event was co-ordinate  by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT) Building Materials Sub-Council.

The business delegation was led by the Chairman – Glass &Ceramic Committee of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, Managing Director – Midaya Ceramic Company (Pvt) Ltd Mr. Anura Warnakulasooriya and Mr Buddika Mallawaaratchi, Senior Asst Secretary General of the National Chamber, Thedelegation comprised of 8 companies representing  the roofing tile industry, namely Suneetha Tiles Factory, Semuthu Tile Factory, Ravil Tile Factory, Rankotha Tile Factory, Supremo Tile Factory, Regal Tiles Factory, Pathiraja Enterprise and Ran Lena Tile Factory. Other delegates represented companies from the ceramic industry namely Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, Noritake Lanka Porcelain (Pvt) Ltd, RSL Ceramics (Pvt) Ltd, Midaya Ceramic Company (Pvt) Ltd, K P International and Cera Serve Enterprise.The delegates were able to gain first hand experience  in modern technology and suitable machinery needed for the roofing tile and theceramic industry.
