National Chamber Hosts the Norwegian Ambassador

H.E. Thorbjourn Gaustadsaether the Ambassador of Norway was the special Guest Speaker at a session on “Bilateral Trade between Sri Lanka & Norway” held on 20 January 2016. He was accompanied by Admin. Counsellor  Mr Hans Jensrud and Mr L Wijenathan, Senior Advisor of the Norwegian Embassy.I n the wake of the Norwegian Foreign Minister’s visit to Sri Lanka, there seems to be many areas of business open for Sri Lankans such as potential for renewable energy, solar power, fisheries sector, ICT and investment opportunities. Exports to Norway are mainly apparel, gloves etc. Imports from Norway- fertilizer, machinery mechanical appliances etc. The participants were able to interact with the Ambassador and find out information with regard to business with Norway.
