PUCSL  Seminar  on “Rights & Obligations of  Electricity Consumers ”

PUCSL seminar in session at the Chamber Auditorium

An awareness seminar for the electricity consumers was conducted by   Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) in association with the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka on Wednesday 29 January 2014 from 1400 h to 1700 h at the  Chamber Auditorium

The purpose of this seminar was to educate electricity consumers on the regulatory framework and their Rights & Obligations and other information that may be useful for the electricity consumers. The keynote address was delivered by the  Director General of PUCSL- Mr. Damitha Kumarasinghe followed by  speeches from 6 senior officials of PUCSL on various areas of the electricity sector. There was a Panel Discussion with a question and answer session, where members in the audience were able to clarify some of their issues.The seminar was well attended with participants numbering over 100.The seminar was moderated by the Deputy President NCCSL Mr. Sujeeve Samaraweera and compered by Mr Bandula Dissanayake, Secretary General/CEO.
