An Evening Seminar on “Quality and Productivity- the Japanese Way” was held at the National Chamber auditorium on 24 June 2014 at the Chamber Auditorium.

A recognized speaker and a qualified trainer  and a pioneer in introducing  Quality Circles and 5S to Sri Lanka, Mr Sunil Wijesinha conducted the session which  touched on many areas such as Brief introduction to Productivity and Quality, Introduction to the Evolution of Japanese Management, Cultural aspects of Japanese Management, Kaizen and techniques under the Kaizen umbrella including a brief introduction to Quality Circles, Hoshin Kanri, Poka Yoke, Gemba Management, TQM, TPM. He also emphasized how Sri Lankan manufacturing and service organisations could implement these techniques beneficially in their own companies.  It was a well attended seminar.
