National Chamber Seminar /Forum on “CEPA and Its Implications on Sri Lanka’s Economy”       

The National Chamber of Commerce  is seriously concerned over the proposed signing of the CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) with India. The business community feels, that CEPA  should be analysed in greater detail as regards the implications involved, advantages/disadvantages and most of all how itwill affect the economy of Sri Lanka  on overall basis.

In view of the above the National Chamber has organised an awareness seminar on CEPA on Wednesday 29 April 2015 from 3.00 p.m  to 5.00 p.m at the Chamber Auditorium No 450 D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo-10. High level Government officials and prominent business leaders from the Private Sector will address the session and air their views on CEPA.

The  Special Guest will be Dr Harsha de Silva, Deputy Minister of Policy Planning & Economic Affairs. Other speakers are Prof. Rohan Samarajiva, Chairman, LIRNEasia, Mr Samantha Kumarasinghe, Chairman, Nature’s Beauty Creation, Mr Kulatunga Rajapaksa, Managing Director, DSI Samson Group, Mr. Deshal de Mel, Senior Economist and moderated by Mr Anushka Wijesinha, Senior Economist. Mr R D S Kumararatne ,Director General of  Commerce will be a special invitee.
