NCCSL briefs Health Minister on Arogya 2012

A delegation headed by Mr. Asoka Hettigoda President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka met Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Minister of Health at the Ministry on 5th July 2012 to brief the progress of “Arogya 2012” International Healthcare Exhibition and Symposium organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Health. In addition to the Hon. Minister, Senior officials from the Ministry including Mr. D M R B Dissanayaka, Additional Secretary, Mr. Somarathna Vidhanapathirana, Additional Secretary, Mr Ajith Mendis, Director General- Health Services, Dr. Neelamani Hewageeganage, Director, Health Education Bureau and Heads of Several Units in the Ministry participated at the briefing. 140 stalls have already been reserved by both Public and Private Sector organizations engaged in Healthcare sector. Almost all the major private sector Hospitals including Nawaloka Hospital, Asiri Hospital PLC, Ninewells Hospital, Lanka Hospital, Oasis Hospital, Delmon Hospital and many medical related products and services providers have taken stalls. In addition, Health Ministries in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Northern and Eastern Provinces have also made their reservations. Many foreign countries such as India and Singapore have confirmed their participation and Singapore, Bangladesh, Pakistan and China are expected to bring in their business delegations to explore investment opportunities. “Argoya 2012” will be held from 17th – 19th August 2012 at the BMICH Colombo. Exhibition will be opened for the public in all three days.
