Seminar on “CEPA and Its Implications on Sri Lanka’s Economy”

An awareness seminar on CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) was held on 29 April 2015 in the afternoon hours at the Chamber Auditorium. High level Government officials and prominent business leaders from the Private Sector addressed the session and aired their varied views on CEPA- the advantages and disadvantages. The keynote Speaker was Dr Harsha de Silva, Deputy Minister of Policy Planning & Economic Affairs. Other speakers were Prof. Rohan Samarajiva, Chairman, LIRNEasia, Mr Samantha Kumarasinghe, Chairman, Nature’s Beauty Creations, Mr Kulatunga Rajapaksa, Managing Director, DSI Samson Group, Mr. Deshal de Mel, Senior Economist. Director General of Commerce, Mr R D S Kumararatne was a special invitee. The seminar was well attended being a much talked about topic.
