Chamber Conducts “ Budget Seminar 2016”

A Post Budget seminar was held on Thursday, 26 November 2015 to highlight the important aspects of the Budget 2016 the impact on economy and business, arising from the new budget at the Chamber. The Speakers were Prof. Sirimal Abayaratne, Department of Economics, University of Colombo on “Marco Economic Aspects of the Budget Proposals”, Mr N R Gajendran, Senior Partner, Gajma & Co on “2016 Budget Implications on Private Sector” and Ms Dushani Chandrasiri, Assistant Commissioner of Inland Revenue on ‘Tax Proposals’ A panel discussion was also held comprising of Ms. Dhammika Gunathilake Deputy Commissioner General – Tax Policy, Department of Inland Revenue Mr Nandika Buddhipala, Chief Financial Officer, Commercial Bank, Mr. Sulaiman Nishtar, Partner, Ernst & Young and other speakers mentioned above.
