Entrepreneurship programme for SMEs in Kurunegala

A capacity building training programme on “Entrepreneurship” for the Small to Medium Entrepreneurs was conducted in Kurunegala with the support of Bank of Ceylon on 18 December 2019 at the Hotel Blue Sky in Kurunegala. Business sectors covered were: Agriculture, Coir Products, Book shops, Dairy Farming, Plastic Manufacturers, Potable Water Bottling, Hardware, Gift Items, Construction, Timber/Furniture, Guest Houses, Coconut Products, Grinding Mills/ Rice Mills, Software Development Companies etc..

NIBM Assistant Director Mr. Gayan Jayathilake (Professional Trainer and Consultant) was the trainer and the contents of the Programme were: What is Entrepreneurship?, Leadership qualities of an entrepreneur, Teamwork in HRM, Communication in a Business Organization,  Business Innovations, Risk Management in Business, Marketing Management, Profit maximization through managing costs and sales, setting goals and formulating strategies etc. a certificate was issued to each participant.
