The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. G.L. Pieris, Minister of External
Affairs and the Guest of Honour was Mr Nivard Ajith Cabraal, Governor of Central Bank. At this meeting Mr Asoka Hettigoda was elected as the new President of the Chamber taking over from Mr Lal de Alwis, the outgoing President.
