A Mini Workshop on “Commercialization of Innovations in Agriculture”

A Mini Workshop on “Commercialization of Innovations in Agriculture” in association with the Agribusiness Centre of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Peradeniya was held on Tuesday 23 June 2015 in the afternoon hours at the Chamber Auditorium.
The objective of this workshop was to highlight the innovations and new concepts introduced to agriculture and create awareness of the advanced technology developed by the academic staff of the Faculty of Agriculture. 3 highly qualified professors from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya made the presentations – Dr L H P Gunaratne, (Ph.D (Hawaii,U.S.A) Director/Professor, Agribusiness Centre, Dr. D.A.N. Dharmasena (Ph.D(Cranfield,U.K) Head/Professor, Dept of Agricultural Engineering and Dr W A P Weerakkody, (Ph.D.(Sri Lanka) Professor, Dept of Crop Science. A significant feature in the event was – the podium and the auditorium had vegetable décor with fruits and vegetables, adding color and novelty to the event. It was well attended workshop and commended by the participants present.
