A Business Seminar titled ” Opportunities for Trade and Investment in BIMSTEC Countries” was held in Bangkok on 23rd February 2011on the wings of the 6th BIMSTEC Business Forum . Representatives from the Chambers of Commerce of the BIMSTEC member states made presentations at this Business Seminar on the trade and investment opportunities in their respective countries.

A large number of Thai business personnel, investors and diplomats attended the Seminar. Keynote addresses were delivered by H.E. Mr. Muhammad Faruk Khan, Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh and H.E. Mr. Alongkorn Ponlaboot, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand.
