The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and National Enterprise Development Authority concluded the “Western Province Entrepreneurship Awards ceremony 2020” in grand scale at BMICH – Lotus Hall on 10 March 2021.  The Secretary of Ministry of Industries Mr. Anusha Pelpita graced the occasion as the Chief Guest among other dignitaries.

The Awards Competition was designed for Micro, Small, Medium and Large sector entrepreneurs in the fields of Industry/Manufacturing Sector, Agriculture/Livestock/Fisheries Sector and Hospitality/Tourism & other services sector and awards were presented for best practices as namely ; Best Environmental Friendly Enterprise, Best Exporter, Best Productive Enterprise, Best Innovative Enterprise, Best Value Added Enterprise, Best Energy Efficient Enterprise, Award for the Entrepreneur – Who has Provided Most Number of Jobs for Females, Award for the Best Woman Entrepreneur, Award for the Best Entrepreneur – Differently abled, Award for the Best Entrepreneur – Recovered from COVID related Business Issues and Award for the Best Entrepreneur – Survived during the COVID-19 Pandemic presented to the best performance in 11 thematic areas.

“The Best Entrepreneur of the year 2020 – Western Province” is the most prestigious award of the event. It recognizes the most outstanding enterprise in the province in 2020 and it was awarded to Christell Skin Clinic (Pvt) Ltd.

The event was graced by a large gathering of MSME and Large sector Entrepreneurs together with Government officials, top corporates representatives.
