National Chamber Launches Ayurveda EXPO 2015

The National Chamber of Commerce officially launched Ayurveda EXPO 2015, International Indigenous Healthcare Exhibition on 27 February 2015 at Hilton Residences, under the patronage of Hon Dr Rajitha Senarathne, Minister of Health & Indigenous Medicine as Chief Guest. Heads of Government /Private Sector, Ayurveda Institutions and other distinguished guests graced the occasion.

The 3 day Mega Exhibition is scheduled to be held  on 3, 4 and 5 July 2015 at the BMICH Colombo in association with the Ministry of Health & Indigenous Medicine, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Board of Investment, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau,  Dept of Commerce and other Institutions.

Ayurveda EXPO 2015 will focus on Manufacturers of Ayurveda/Herbal, Nature friendly Health foods & Beverages, Health resorts/spas, Ayurveda hospitals/Clinics, Educational Institutions, Yoga, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Beauty Care products, Herbal Cosmetic products etc. A Symposium and public seminar on ayurveda and indigenous medicine also will be held participated by both local and international speakers. The objective of this exhibition is to promote Ayurveda system of medicine locally and internationally, to educate the public on achieving wellness through nature friendly indigenous medicine, to create a platform for local and overseas organization in the indigenous healthcare sector, to come together on one platform. In addition, the Chamber expects both local and foreign participation-exhibitors, visitors/delegations from countries such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan,  Nepal, Japan and China etc. Ayurveda EXPO organized by the National Chamber of Commerce commenced in April 2007, and continued in 2009, 2011 and 2013, all of which were concluded with great success. The exhibition is conducted for the 5^th time this year.
