NCCSL Signs MOU with American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM)

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) on February 9th 2011, which brings together two leading Chambers of Commerce in Sri Lanka and their respective memberships. This important collaboration will provide opportunities for members of both Chambers, not only to interact with each other, but also access each other’s areas of expertise, their respective markets and technology for mutual benefit.
The AmCham Sri Lanka is affiliated with the U.S Chamber of Commerce, the largest business Federation in the United States, representing the interests of over 3 million U.S. Companies. AmCham is also a member of the Asia –Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC) an umbrella organization representing businesses in 27 countries throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka, a non profit association founded in 1992 brings together more than 300 leading Sri Lankan and American Companies based in Sri Lanka engaged in trade, business and investment activities between Sri Lanka and the United States of America. AmCham maintains close relationships with decision makers from the U.S. and Sri Lankan Government’s trade bodies, national and regional Chambers of Commerce, and many other relevant institutions both in Sri Lanka and the United States, in order to promote the continuing interests of its membership.
